After over a decade of delivering wellbeing training to a wide range of organisations and groups, we’ve gradually realised that the consistently exceptional feedback we recieve for our work isn’t the norm for workplace training. We’re always evolving, training and listening to feedback, but here’s a few reasons why we think our training is already so consistently well received.
We listen
We listen to our clients and we listen to the needs of the group we’re working with. We don’t deliver “one size fits all” workshops. Even our standard training sessions have a strong bespoke element to them, where we’re listening to the needs and situation of our clients. We adapt and respond, working flexibly and interactively with the group.
Training and expertise
We have years of training and experience in the art of facilitation, as well as our expertise in wellbeing. There’s plenty of training providers that are experts in their field, but with no expertise in facilitation, or vice versa. We pride ourselves on having both. Our training is inclusive, accessible and enjoyable.
We accommodate different learning styles and use visual materials, discussion, theory, and experiential practice. We know what it’s like to sit through boring or patronising training sessions and we’re here to do things differently. We’ve got the skills and flexibility to work with a group in a way that’s right for them.
Mindfulness
One of the central themes to all our workshops is mindfulness, which is essentially a practice of being present with ourselves and each other. Practicing this together can be a unique and nourishing experience for a group of people that usually only interact in a work setting. We often find that teams find increased understanding and empathy with each other as a result. In these workshops, we’re inviting your team to listen and relate to each other with interest and without judgement.
An experiential focus
One of the most important parts of our workshops and training is an experiential focus. We want attendees to have the opportunity to try out the tools and techniques for themselves, with our guidance and support. We focus on supporting a group environment that feels safe, supportive and interactive. Then we bring our expertise and personal experience to help inform and support people to learn and try these practices out for themselves.
We’ve found that this process allows people to discover the benefits for themselves. Experiential learning can often be the most valuable, so it makes sense to create space for attendees to try out the wellbeing tools and techniques during the workshop, in a varied and interesting way. Similarly, another important part of our workshops is allowing time for attendees to reflect together about their experience. This is also brilliant for building empathy, understanding and communication within a group.
We do this work because we know it makes a difference. We want you and your team to be happy and well. We believe that’s how we can all succeed and thrive together. Drop us a line to talk about how our training can help your team be happy, healthy and resilient.
